Padre Juan has travelled extensively throughout the world, trained in many spritiual paths and has been named teacher of the teacher's teacher by the shamans of the Amazons. He also holds the title of Babalu Aye in the Santeria tradition.
He is a renowned Shaman of the Maya Mystic, and Master of the Sacred Fire. He works in healings with angels, crystals, Reiki, runes, herbs, reflexology and is one of the few trained exorcists.

Tata Pedro is a prominent member of the Consejo De Ancianos De Atitlan. He has dedicated his life to community service and now he is preparing the sacred fire ceremonies for our meetings.
Tata Pedro will be giving a seminar on the Mayan Cosmovision, Natural Medicine and Energetic Equilibrium
Tata Jose is also a member of the Consejo De Ancianos De Atitlan. He lives in San Juan La Laguna and is known as one of the best hueseros(bonehealer) in The Lake. Tata Jose travels with and assists Tata Pedro in his ceremonial work.
Alain Galtie (Merlin)
Alain is an expert in many things among them,stones, aromatherapy, energy work, he is a collector of information and a magician-wizard. He has a very extensive study of the Maya Calendar in 3 languages, Knower of all the lines of study and all the different counts of the Sacred Time. Alain also does pumice stone carvings and creates amazing vitrals.
Alain was born in Cannes, France, but he grew up in French Guyana, where his dad was one of the researchers for the French space program. He grounded his metaphysical knowledge with studies in "Physics and Matter" in the Sorbonne. Alain's newest project is La Escuela de los Misterios Mayas at Lake Atitlan.

Rutenberg is a self-declared 77 year old Crone or perhaps a Witch (good one
of course) who doesn't bore God and is more in love with life with each
passing year of her most interesting and growth evoking life.
A survivor of Holocaust and cancer. And a healer who believes
that HEAL means Heavenly Energy Applied Lovingly.
She is also an academically trained professional sculptor, painter and
art teacher. Creator of a unique method of evoking creativity called
TO FREE THE ARTIST WITHIN and a Radical Forgiveness Coach who was responsible
for bringing Radical Forgiveness to Poland and also to Jerusalem in August
of 2006."
Doña Maria has spent most of her life as a Mayan curandera (healer) and midwife here in El Remate. She had an early affiity for the herbs and plants of the jungle, and learned about them as a child, by listening to the adults, and asking them questions.

Danny Diaz
Danny is of Mayan descent and was born in Guatemala. He began his spiritual journey under the tutelage of Lakota Elders. As part of his Lakota education, Danny learned the healing power of the Lakota inipi (English translation for sweat lodge.) Danny also follows Kokopelli's Trail, building and playing the Native American flute to facilitate his effort to spread world peace and healing for humanity. In 2004, Danny landed in El Remate following the call to become a care taker to Mother Earth. At Medicine Lake he is currently reforesting and developing a sustainable farm undergoing the early stages.
Meeting Ann Lossing that same year accelerated his vision of creating a ceremonial site. Danny's intention is to facilitate this sacred site for Native and Non-Native people to come and gather together in the Circle of Prayer.

Mathis has taught theater and creative dance for 25 years in California.
In the 90´s, she created a spiritual and healing course for women called
"Dancing the Goddesses Within." She has also taught classes on conflict
resolution, intuition, and led seminars on the spiritual traditions of ancient
Egypt.
In her lifelong spiritual quest, Caite practiced Zen Buddhism for many years
and also practiced Vipassana meditation, Siddha Yoga, Ascension, Native American
ceremony and the Toltec healing process of Recapitulation.

For that matter, you can’t even call Kan’Nal a “band.”

Pablo began his studies of flute at 8 years of age, and at 11, his father, Santiago Collado, taught him his first knowledge of acoustic guitar. At 12 years, he began composing music and performing concerts by guitar.
Pablo now has his own recording studio in Belize, and performs concerts in Guatemala and Belize.

Cheri Shanti has been sharing the power of rhythm by facilitating drum and
rhythm circles across the country since 1997. During this time, she has
been studying, observing and facilitating drum circles across the country
in many different environments, from festivals, spiritual events, rites
of passage, nursing homes, schools and community events of all kinds.She
has recorded three solo CD's and performed with members of the Grammy
Award Winning Flecktones, ARU, STI, and many others.
She has studied the drum in various traditions and contexts and has mentored
with Master Magician Jeff "Magnus" McBride & the Firedance
Community in co-creating a tradition of Alchemical Transformation
through Community Music Circles. She now brings her own rendition of those
circles into form with the Magical Mystical Muse. Her passion is Empowerment
through rhythm and community work.
