to Uaxactun (“Eight Stones”)

Uaxactun is one of the oldest Mayan cities known and the ancient birthplace of the Maya calendar. It is estimated that there are over 10,000 pyramid complexes in this area which also contains Tikal. This is a place of “Spirit and Stars” and contains the “Star Maps”, along with Coba, MX. Maya glyphic writing was perfected at Uaxactun. This sacred city is famous for its' Archaeo-Astronomical alignments and its' "Olmec" style Pyramid of the Jaguar. The city is split between the Sciences, the Arts and High Ceremonial Magic. Uaxactun has one of the only Maya Theaters known. Its' dance platforms are still mostly intact. All the Chakras are stimulated and amplified at this beautiful and secluded site.

Charting Your Natal Archetypes

Each person has a unique life path and mission, our Sacred Contracts. We act these out through a group of archetypes-universal patterns of consciousness. Archetypes shape our personality, psychology and spiritual growth. They bring experiences through which we learn lessons of choice and empowerment. In Caroline Myss' model, you have 12 natal archetypes that give a profile of your spiritual DNA. Like planets in your horoscope, these 12 archetypes were aligned with a zodiac house at the moment of your birth. Thus, they shape your expression of the contents of the houses. This natal pattern stays with you through life, setting your talents, basic reaction patterns, and inevitable experiences. Knowing your natal archetypes lets you see why certain things happen in your life. Developing the strengths of your archetypes gives you tools to handle life's challenges and to fulfill your life purpose.

Dona Maria will take the group on an herb walk into the jungles to locate and describe the medicinal properties of the plants and herbs that grow locally, after which you will return to her home where she will demonstrate the traditional preparation and use of several of the herbs .

Developed by Colin Tipping the author of Radical Forgiveness, making room for a miracle and based on a traditional North American Indian Ceremony, this most powerful exercise will help to change your life.  While participating in it you will be able to notice how the energy consuming dramas you have created with your life's partners, family members, friends and fellow workers suddenly begin to collapse.  You will become ready to accept the concept that in reality there is nothing to forgive since all that happened to you really happened for you. After walking the circle you will experience a feeling of relief and you will notice that your victim mentality, fear, paranoia and guilt suddenly begun to disappear freeing the energy which you will be able to use to heal yourself, fall in love with your life and bring peace to the planet for the sake of your children.

Irena will also guide the group in a miniature intuitive sculpture and poetry writing exercise with blindfolds and special clay.  You will create a sculpture that will contain the essence of your experience at Activation Maya 2006. 
All ages from 8 on are welcome.    Bring a scarf as a blindfold.

Dancing the Goddesses Within

2-Day Workshop

This is an empowerment for women, using creative movement. You will embody the various energies of Goddesses of different cultures whose sacred energies are also to be found within ourselves.  Some you will get to know are from the ancient Maya such as Ixmukane, the wise woman of the deep earth who weaves our destiny,  Ixchel, the moon and fertility goddess, Coatlique, Aztec goddess of birth and death.  You will also work with those of India such as Kali, Lakshmi, Sarasvati, some of the Greek dieties, the Egyptians neters, etc.  This is not a workshop specifically for dancers but for any women who want a powerful and rich experience of self discovery and new freedom of expression.  
   
Caite has taught creative theater and dance for more than twenty years and is a Priestess of Isis and Sekhmet through the Temple of Isis in California.
